Who Was Tiny Tim?
Before his guest appearances on Laugh-In and The Ed Sullivan Show, Tiny Tim performed as a singer and guitarist/ukulele player in Greenwich Village during the 1960s. He was known as “Tiny Tim.” His rendition of “Tip-Toe Through the Tulips With Me” was a smash, and he is famous for the unusual falsetto he uses in his singing. His wedding to his fiancĂ©e Miss Vicki, which was broadcast live on The Tonight Show, also attracted the highest number of viewers in the show’s history. He died on November 30, 1996.

Career Highlights
After some time, he took on the persona of Tiny Tim, a character created by Charles Dickens, and started performing at the many clubs that make up the Greenwich Village music scene. In addition, he performed at parties and talent events, albeit he frequently used aliases. Tiny Tim was adamant about pursuing a career in music, even though his parents attempted to prevent him from doing so. Tim’s booking on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In, a tremendously successful television variety program, directly resulted from his performance in the film You Are What You Eat (1968), which he had previously been in.
Tiny Tim startled Dan Rowan with his high-pitched, falsetto voice, ability to play the ukulele, and strange look (Tim was almost 6 feet tall and wore his dark, curly hair to his shoulders). However, Tiny Tim was a novelty hit despite all of these things. He continued to make appearances on Laugh-In and eventually became a regular guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Tiny Tim continued his career as a recording artist and touring musician while enjoying his celebrity status.
Personal Life
Tiny Tim was married for the first time on “The Tonight Show” in 1969, but he and his bride Victoria Mae Budinger tended to spend much of their time apart. When they split, they had been married for eight years and had one kid, a daughter named Tulip Victoria. Tiny Tim would marry three more times, with each subsequent wife opting to live apart from him.
Death
In 1996, Tiny Tim passed away after suffering a heart attack while performing at a ukulele festival in Massachusetts. After being admitted to the hospital for three weeks, he was discharged with the warning that he should stop touring and performing. Tiny Tim decided to pursue his work even though he would later pass away from a fatal heart attack on November 30, 1996, in Minneapolis. Following the performance of his famous song “Tip Toe Through the Tulips,” he exited the stage and passed away an hour later.
